KEYNOTE SPEAKERS Acting Head of Information Experience Design at the Royal College of Art, Dylan Yamada-Rice is an artist and researcher specialising in narratives and storytelling. Her research sits at the intersection of experimental design and social sciences, focusing on the design of digital storytelling, games and play on a range of platforms such as apps, augmented and virtual reality, as well as new content for television. Christoffer Holmgård
Christoffer Holmgård is a co-owner of Die Gute Fabrik, former CEO of Die Gute Fabrik, former Assistant Professor of Game Design and Program Coordinator of the Game Science and Design Program at Northeastern University, and the current CEO/CTO of modl.ai, a company developing artificial intelligence solutions for game developers. He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Copenhagen. His research focuses on an emerging field of game design: using artificial intelligence to playtest games and help expand designers’ imagination and capabilities. Fiammetta Costa
Fiammetta Costa, Ph.D in Industrial Design, researcher at Design Department of Politecnico di Milano. Principal areas of research interests are user research methods and environmental design. She has been teaching Ergonomics and Industrial design since 2000 at the Design School of Politecnico and covered coordination roles in researches financed by Italian Ministry of University and Lombardy Region and participated in several UE funded projects. Francesca Tosi
Full Professor of Industrial Design at Department of Architecture - DIDA, University of Florence. Scientific Director of LED, Ergonomics & Design Laboratory, she develops her research and didactic activities in the fields of Product and Interior Design, Ergonomics in Design, Inclusive Design. She is past national President of SIE, Italian Society of Ergonomics and Human Factors, and currently, President of CUID, Italian Design Academic Conference. Topic: "Asking Users. Güven Çatak
Dr. Güven Çatak started to write in video games magazines (PC Gamer Turkey, Level and Oyungezer) and make short films while studying architecture at İstanbul Technical University. His shorts won several awards and were screened at various festivals. After his media adventure, he continued his games career as an academic in Bahcesehir University. He has a master thesis on "Usage of Architecture in Video Games" and a PhD thesis on "Using Video Games in Design Education: Basic Design Playground". His media network and academic studies empowered him to found "BUG Lab" which kickstarted indie game scene in İstanbul and eventually transformed into an education platform including undergraduate and master programs on game design with pre-incubation and virtual reality spaces. He's still working as a professor in Bahcesehir University and running BUG Lab and its components. Çetin Tüker
Çetin Tüker is an animator, illustrator, instructor, and architect specialized in 3-D animation, interactive multimedia, and motion graphics design. He completed his undergraduate and graduate educations in METU Department of Architecture in 1992 (BA) and 1996 (MA), and also completed his thesis for Doctor of Fine Arts (DFA) in Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Graphic Design in 2009. Since 1993 to the present, he was awarded several times for his animations and designs in several fields. He is continuing his teaching career, which started in 1994, as an Associate Professor in Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Graphic Design. In 2007 he published his first book, From Design to Application: 3D Environment Design, and in 2007 and 2008, his educational DVDs, Introduction to 3DS Max (2007) and Fluid Simulation with GLU 3D (2008) were released by The Gnomon Workshop.
